インド製の菱形のアクセサリートレイ。1~2個の指輪が入るほどの小さなトレイです。
真鍮のくすんだ美しい金色。菱形という形がとてもきれいです。トランプのダイヤの形、伝統的なアーガイル柄。
ところで、菱形は身の回りの道具にはあまり見かけない気がします。丸や四角は簡単に作れますが、菱形は辺の角度が特殊なため作るのに手間がかかりそうです。生産効率が良くないのだと思います。そのため、デザインに採用される機会が少ないのでしょう。
だからこそ、正円や四角形にはない優雅さがあります。ポツンとあるだけで存在感を放ちます。
