タイの古都スコータイで作られた、磁器の首像です。

磁器の柔らかい白さが美しい。グレーを帯びた乳白色です。昔のタイの普通の人々をモデルにしています。子供の髪型は、昔のタイの子供がよくしていた髪型です。

真面目な首像はよく見かける。でもこれは少し雰囲気が違います。どこか肩の力が抜けたような、それでも味わいのある顔です。ニカっと笑った屈託のない表情。

付属の黒い鉄の棒状の台座に引っ掛けて飾ります。

コロナ禍以降、バンコクのショップはなくなってしまいました。また出会える日を待ちながら、手元にある分だけをここに置いています。
